The Struggle Is Real

The Struggle Is Real

Lately I have been struggling with how to get my blog out there. I feel like no one is listening, like maybe what I have to say is not that important and that I maybe am not as special as I thought. Maybe I am just a normal girl trying to do something impossible by starting this blog and thinking that people will want to read something so simple, so real.

I was in the shower when the lyrics to a song called “Tiny Voice” came into my mind. I realized that I am special and I do have something worth sharing.

“Tiny Voice”

Are you listening
Or are you looking away
I’ve been waiting
For a chance to say

My unsaid opinion
That’s never made a sound
But if you’ll let me let it out

This tiny voice, it may not be perfect
But I know that it’s got some good things to say
A tiny voice, humble and quiet
Don’t turn away from a tiny voice

Within the static
It’s drowning in the loud
It’s so easy
To tune it out

The more you overlook it
And miss it day by day
It’s slowly disappearing
Don’t let it fade away

This tiny voice, it may not be perfect
But I know that it’s got some good things to say
This tiny voice, humble and quiet
Don’t turn away from a tiny voice

I know I’m not done now
I’m letting it stand out
A bit at a time
This tiny voice
And who would’ve figured
That I could grow bigger
Louder and stronger until you can hear

This tiny voice
It’s got some good things to say
This tiny voice, humble and quiet
Don’t turn away
Don’t turn away from a tiny voice
Hear my voice

I just want to thank Lexi Walker for writing this song. I have always loved this song but now this song means even more to me.

  1. Hi Cutenerdygirl, I know your grandma and grandpa. I know your sweet dad in fact I have known and loved all of your family since before Jon was born . I think that you have the very best family around and they are blessed to have you. If it’s alright with you I want to read your blog. I like that I can get to know you better and I can hear what’s going on with your family . Anyway from one old lady to a wonderful young woman, I am listening!
